Seek and ye shall find......

In an effort to organize reference material, particularly after the move to idaho, I went through The Big Rubbermaid Box of Slides in the garage and found three boxes of slides from a trip to Montana in 1978. Since we are living so close to the Montana border now, we thought we'd take a trip over to Glacier, find the bison herd, check out our neighboring state, do a little plein air painting. Some unexpected health issues prevented much travel, so we're sticking close to home awhile longer. But- there are those slides from a long ago trip. Problem- they are 110s! Who processes those anymore? We tried scanning at home, but the quality we could reproduce was, although recognizable, too difficult to work from for painting purposes. An online search led me to Larsen Digital in Utah. I filled out the order form, and in the process, found that I could get a $5 credit on my order if I tell people about them. Really? Why not? Five bucks is a deal these days. So I'm happy to add the Larsen link to my blog entry and will look forward to seeing my images of a trip over 40 years ago that I can use for reference paintings. Montana is, after all, the place I saw my first grizzly long before moving to Alaska where I saw lots of them.

Let's see if this works! In the meantime, I have some new work to finish before these slides come back........
